End of Year Happenings and Information

It's that busy time of year!


Open House is May 21st from 5:00-6:30 and an art show in the cafeteria! Also, yummy Italian Ice will be available for purchase at Open House behind the cafeteria

May 21st is a minimum day -- TK 8:45-12:15, K-2 8:15-12:15, and 3rd-5th 8:00-12:30

Choir performances: School Assembly May 20 2:00-2:30  and May 21st at 6:30 in the gym

May 21st  Spanish 4th and 5th Graders performing The Cup Song at 6:15 in the gym at Open House

No school May 25th due to Memorial Day

Parent hours should be completed by May 29th. 

June 1st Talent Show Dress Rehearsal 3:00-5:00 

June 3rd Talent Show Day school performances Act 1 10:05 and Act 2 1:30  

June 3rd 5:30-7:30 Talent Show Evening Performance 

June 5th 11:45-12:30  Kindergarten Celebration

June 12 -Last Day Picnic & walking field trip 9-1:15 -- contact teacher for specific information

Also, many classes are doing musical performances- teachers will share that information! So exciting!

Star Academy 2015-16 Lottery Results Now Posted

Lottery results for the 2015-16 school year now available below.

Please click here to view the 2015-16 lottery results. There are tabs at the bottom of the document for each grade level including accepted and wait list students. 

Students accepted during the lottery will be receiving an email in the next few days to accept or decline your spot for the upcoming school year.

The 2015-16 Star Academy Lottery was held March 17th.


March/April Enrichment Signups are now open!

Signups are now open as of 7:00 PM. You can access the descriptions by clicking HERE.

The link to the signup form is now posted in the description document. 

There are several new sessions this time! Minecraft is now full- we were able to place 21 students who have never attended and we also added 7 who have only attended once based on time and date stamp.

Our bell schedule information is listed below.

AM TK  8:45-12:15    (M-F)            

PM TK 11:45-3:15     (M-F)

Early Kindergarten 8:15-1:15     

Late Kindergarten  10:00-3:00

1st and 2nd grades 8:15-3:00

3rd-5th grades 8:00-2:45

*1st-5th start at 9:30 every Wednesday

Kindergarten starts at 10:00 for both classes on Wednesdays.

About Star Academy

Star Academy, one of five Natomas Charter School academies, offers students a comprehensive and student-centered curriculum in a supportive and nurturing environment.  Through differentiated instruction, hands-on learning activities emphasize critical thinking and encourage creativity, and moderate class sizes provide an opportunity to meet each individual student's needs.  

Star Academy currently offers instruction in Transitional Kindergarten (TK) and grades kindergarten to fifth grade.  For the 2014-2015 school year, fourth and fifth grades have been included in our program.  

By utilizing multi-faceted approaches, real-world examples, applications, and experiences, our vision is to develop well-rounded individuals of character who possess strong critical thinking and problem solving skills to become global citizens and lifelong learners.

The Natomas Charter School shall be nonsectarian in its programs, admissions policies, employment practices and all other operations, shall not charge tuition, and shall not discriminate against any pupil on the basis of ethnicity, national origin, gender or disability.
